Psalm 24:1 – “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”

What comes to your mind when you think of home? It’s a place where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. A place where you find your loved ones, enjoy their companionship, and make memories you can cherish for years to come. God created the earth as a dwelling place for His children, and at least for now, it is our home. He filled it with wonders for us to discover every day.

When it’s been a dull, hazy day and suddenly, the skies clear up and the sun reappears, it lightens up our mood and brings us joy. When puffy white clouds make beautiful patterns against a bright blue sky, we only need to look up and be in awe of the vast expanse God has created. When a bird chirps in the distance, or a litter of puppies play around the street corner, wouldn’t it be amazing to take a moment to appreciate the small joy that God sent our way?

The earth is the Lord’s. He created it for us to live in. When we take time to appreciate the beauty God displays in creation, it is a natural stressbuster. There is always beauty for those who’re willing to see it. Take a few moments today to take in the sights and sounds of the earth, and the people God has chosen to dwell in it. You might just catch a kind word, a dazzling smile, or a helping hand that will restore your faith in God’s creation. Delight in the small joys God has given you today.
