The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him. Exodus 15:2
Picture this scene from the Bible: the Israelites are finally out of Egypt, but the story is not over yet. The mighty army of Pharaoh chasing after them on one side and the Red Sea on the other. God prevented the enemies from coming close to the Israelites with the pillar of fire. But did that stop the army? No, they did not turn back. So, the Israelites got anxious as usual and got ready to stone Moses as if that would solve everything. Exactly, then God steps in and does the supernatural. He makes a highway through the sea only to rescue His people. God was performing miracles on miracles for the Israelites while their oppressors, the Egyptians, were being destroyed.
God does not bring us to a challenge and then leave us there. Even when we go through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with us! Remember, God is our Shepherd all through our lives. So, let us not wait for that miracle to happen to praise God. Let’s give thanks to Him before the miracle, during the miracle and even after the miracle. God is waiting to take us through a process which is too good to be true.
Moses, the prince of Egypt, knew about his father’s God and heard about Him. But now Moses tasted and saw that the Lord is good. Moses knew God! God used an old Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt because Moses would do it God’s way and not his way. He will use us also, but only if we surrender to His ways.
Today, put your trust in the mighty God of miracles, your salvation. He will see you through!
