MORE THAN A SUPERHERO

Isaiah 43:2 – “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”

Only in a movie filled with special effects can a Superhero survive such disasters like a severe flood or a fire. What about us? Would we survive? Yes, we would! – Not on our own abilities, but through the super unmatched powers of our God!

Some of us will not necessarily and literally go through the flooding waters of a river, or the scorching flames of a fire. But we will all go through some difficult times and situations. This is actually to be expected. Jesus warned us: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

When difficulty comes our way, we can fully rely on the infinite power of our God, who willingly comes to our rescue. He has the ability to part the waters so we can walk on dry ground; and if the waters don’t part, then we walk over them. And the fire that comes near us is the fire of the Holy Spirit, and His fire does not consume us, but it gives us more power to stay strong.

This is Our God, Who has created and formed us; Who says to us:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine.”

“You are precious and honored in My sight”.

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you”.

“I am God. Yes, from the ancient days, I am He. No one can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”

(Isaiah 43)

Hallelujah!!!

Abba Father, Thank you for keeping us safe yesterday and added a brand new day to all of us. By your grace and mercy we all are safe. Nothing of our good deeds, but by your Holiness alone that make us rejoicing in YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST. In your name alone be glorified and honour in and through our lives. In the precious name of Jesus let’s pray. Amen
