More than Conquerors

Romans 8:37:  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Everyday, our life has something new to take on.  It has something new to capture or fight over.   Sometimes, life throws some pressing challenges like sin and/or temptation, relationship issues, financial breakdown and still worse situations.  Paul says, yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Jesus who loved us.

Since Jesus has conquered sin and death, everything associated with it has also been conquered.  Through this conquest, we are not just conquerors but more than conquerors.  It was Jesus who died for us on the cross and defeated Satan, but because we partake in that victory that was wrought to us by His love, we are more than conquerors.  No famine or pestilence or sword or nakedness can separate us from the love of God.  In all kinds of situation in life, we will not be depressed or oppressed.   God will strengthen us to stand firm and maintain our composure.

We have an assurance from the scriptures to be bold in the face of adversities.  As long as we are basking in the love of God, there is nothing in this world that can cause us to have a downfall.  The more we draw closer to God and be established in His love, the more far away we are from calamities and disasters for we are more than conquerors.  His love for us is so strong and unchanging.
