More than conquerors

Romans 8:37:  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus writes this epistle to the believers in Rome.  He declares that believers in Christ are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us.  Conqueror means a person who conquers or vanquishes.  We in Christ are more than conquerors.  The Greek word implied here is “hupernikos.” Huper means over, above, and beyond.   It carries the idea of something that is utmost or foremost or first class and nikos describes an overcomer or a champion.  It carries the idea of an overwhelming force.

Therefore, in Christ, we are more than just a conqueror.  Nothing in this life can ever put us down or suppress us. There is no force that is stronger than the status that we have in Christ.  No powers of hell or darkness can ever stop our progress.  Stop looking at yourself as a loser.  You are not a loser.  You are a prevailing force against all odds. You are an overcomer because Jesus is an overcomer.  No broken situation or financial crunch or a bad repute can ever pull you down.  In all these things, we are more than conquerors.  You just need to assure yourself that a greater conqueror lives inside you and move on in your life.

We are not done until God says it.  So rise up and walk again.  Let God’s word refresh your soul and your spirit. Always think you are on the winning side.  God will help you if you are willing to accept this authoritative status of being more than a conqueror in any situation.
