Never Alone

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Are you feeling dismayed or overwhelmed about the future? Do you find yourself incapable of handling a situation you so greatly desired? Here’s a secret. Even with all the uncertainties looming around you, you can still be strong and of good courage, because God is with you. Wherever you go. He promised this to Joshua, and it holds good for you too.

Being courageous begins by trusting God and His promises. The Bible says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” We get anxious because we rely on ourselves – our limited knowledge, scarce resources, and restricted strength. It is natural to get overwhelmed when we know we do not have what it takes. But when we rely on God- the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, is there anything too difficult for Him? 

God is aware of everything happening in your life. He knows who is spending the night in the lion’s den and is faithful to shut the mouth of the lion(Daniel 6:22). God knows who is walking in the fiery furnace and is there to take the heat away(Daniel 3:27). He knows what you are going through. That decision you need to make. He knows it. He has already placed the right people around you on that big project you are stressing about. That thing that harmed you He is turning it for your good. Our Heavenly Father is loving and faithful. He will not leave nor forsake you. Start looking at situations with eyes of faith, and you will find God beside you. If God has called you, know that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
