“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God – John 3:18
These are words of comfort for those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, as the son of God, who takes our sins and gives us eternal life. The sin of man separates us from God because God is Holy, and He cannot be in the presence of sin. When we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, we will have no condemnation because of our sins. Our spirit gets cleansed and renewed because we have received the gift of salvation.
This plan of redemption from our sin is a pre-destined plan by God. As there was no other way to save us from our sins other than God becoming a human, living with us, experiencing every stage of life as a normal human, teaching us, and finally sacrificing himself to redeem us from our sins.
John 11:50 says that …. it is better for you that one man dies for the people than that the whole nation perishes.” God himself became that man who will pay the price for our sins and became a sacrifice so that we will be redeemed.
Today, let us live our lives in confidence that we are saved by the death of our Lord Jesus on the cross. We are not condemned but redeemed.
Let us give thanks to our Lord Jesus for His death on the cross to save us from our sins and for giving us eternal life.
