No Fear in the Light

Psalm 27:1 NKJV

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

One of the best things about light is that it dispels darkness. When children are afraid of the dark at night, they leave a small light on in their room. Light chases away the shadows and brings clarity. If an electric bulb can bring about such a difference in the way we perceive the world, how much more will the Light of the world transform our lives?

In today’s verse, King David boldly proclaims that the Lord Himself is our light and our salvation. That assurance is sufficient to banish every fear and negative thought that threatens to steal our peace.

The Word of God brightens the path before us and gives us clarity of mind. If you’re struggling with constant worry and anxiety, turn to the Bible for help. God will speak to you, comfort you, and strengthen you to face your life with confidence.

Remember that the Lord your God is willing and able to save you from the clutches of dark and depressing thoughts. Reach out to Him and let His Word wash away your worries. Cast your burdens on the Lord – He really does care for you (1 Peter 5:7). He will replace your fears with His power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
