No Harm, Only Calm

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him. Jeremiah 17:7 (NIV)

Jeremiah, the prophet, declares that happiness surrounds the person who trusts and hopes in the Lord. The Bible encourages us to rely on the Lord and not our understanding, saying that HE would guide our steps.

Those who trust the Lord have joyful, unrestrained lives free from worry. Our hearts and minds will be at perfect peace, our mouths will sing praise, and our life will worship the Lord even when we go through life’s difficulties, testing, and valleys.

Trusting God does not mean that we are in denial of the realities of life or the truth or danger. It means that we have complete confidence that when we pray, the Lord hears, and He will work it out on our behalf, and when the Lord answers, it will be the perfect reply for our situation.

Our feet are firmly planted by the waterways when our confidence is in the Lord; therefore, we will be more than Conquerors in any situation we face. The Lord is with and for us. When we pass through the waters, HE will be with us: When we pass through the rivers, it will not sweep over us; when we walk through the fire, it will not burn us (Isaiah 43:2).

The call for today is to have confidence and trust in God because He is a refuge in storms, a help in distress, and our strength in times of weakness. Trust God, and He will calm us.
