Deuteronomy 31:6 – “… for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
Moving into a foreign land that we do not know, learning and speaking a new language, making new friends, can bring feelings of discomfort and even anxiety. This is more or less what was happening to the chosen generation that was about to enter the promised land.
The LORD through Moses gave the Israelites specific rules, regulations, commands which they had to obey in order to enjoy the blessings. And if they continued to love the LORD, listen to His voice, and obey Him, the blessings would not only be accessible to them, but would be extended to their children.
God commands us to be strong, courageous, determined, confident.
He tells us not to be afraid, scared, terrified, or panic.
He is our protection.
He goes before us.
What tremendous words of encouragement, to know that our God will always be at our side regardless of the circumstances; that He will never fail us or abandon us; that He will never leave us or forsake us.
When you are facing a new situation, difficulties, and you feel discouraged because you don’t have all the answers, tell yourself in a loud voice:
“” I have a wonderful God and Father who tells me:
“Be strong and courageous. I will not be afraid or terrified because of the unknown, for the LORD my God goes with me; He will never leave me nor forsake me.””
