John 16:15 NKJV

“All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

John 16:15 is a powerful passage in which Jesus speaks to His disciples about the role of the Holy Spirit. This verse offers a profound insight into the nature of the Holy Spirit and His divine work in our lives.

The verse begins with Jesus’ statement, “All things that the Father has are mine.” This highlights the equality and unity between the Father and the Son. As the Son of God, Jesus shares the same divine nature as His Father. There is no hierarchy between them; rather, they are united in purpose and essence.

Jesus goes on to tell His disciples that everything the Father possesses belongs to them as well —including grace, wisdom, divine relationship, and the revelation of truth. We have the assurance that we will lack nothing, for the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells within us. The power of the Holy Spirit guides us, which is given to us by both the Father and the Son. This demonstrates the cooperative role of the Trinity in the redemption of humanity.

Through the Holy Spirit, we have access to the fullness of God’s gifts, empowering us to live according to His will. This verse reminds us that the Spirit’s work in our lives is not only a gift but also a testament to the unity and love existing within the Trinity.
