To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21

In an Olympic game, the glory of winning a medal is only experienced by those who are esteemed. It is an honorary position for those who are conquerors and victorious.

Gods Calling

God’s calling has a purpose, as He says that “I stand at the door” (Revelation 3:20). “I knock,” implying that He is participating and catching our attention. He is knocking at our hearts. If we hear His voice, it is through His word. “Open the door” so He can enter our lives. He said, “I will come in.” His presence makes all the difference. He will also “share a meal” with us, just like a family member. In His kindness, we are beneficiaries in His kingdom. For Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33).

In today’s verse, “those who are victorious” are chosen by the “Kingdom calling,” and they hear, invite, and obey Him. As Jesus being victorious and sharing the seat with our heavenly Father. Victors are welcome to share the “Heavenly Father’s Throne.” With such a higher standard He has offered us, Jesus invites us to give Him our “ears to hear.” As the church, “the body of Christ,” let us learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and understand Him.

Overcomer & Victorious

Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we are victorious over our sinful nature. We can overcome the challenges of the world and our daily lives with His strength. Being the recipients of His grace and mercy, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
