Isaiah 26:3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (KJV).
God is the giver of peace. He gives peace not like how the world gives. His peace is something which can hold us intact in any kind of situation. If we can always keep our minds fixed on the Lord Jesus, He will keep us in perfect peace.
Trusting God and getting our minds to stay focused on God gives us peace. Our troubled situation will no longer be troublesome as we begin to put our faith in God and demonstrate through our actions that we believe God no matter what. Even in the midst of a storm, when we feel that our life is soon going to be over, if we can stay put, God will do wonders. Being in a confused or perplexed state of mind is one thing and having a God on our side who will keep us in perfect peace despite any worse situation is another thing. Some situations may seem contrary to God’s word of hope and comfort. Some others might be overwhelming or a threatening one. God is not the one who will allow us to be shaken or totally thrown off gear. Because we trust in Him and our minds are focused on Him, He will grant to us that perfect peace.
Sleeping in a stormy situation is possible for those whose hope and trust is in the Lord. Be bold and courageous to exhibit your strength in God. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. May God grant to each and everyone of us His perfect peace.
