Psalm 145:21 – “My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all flesh shall bless His Holy name forever and ever.”
When we are up, praising the Lord comes more naturally; but when we are feeling down, praise does not come so easily, right? However, the psalmist writes that we should praise the Lord “every day”. (Psalm 145:2).
That means that in spite of how we “feel”, we need to Praise the Lord. Why? Because He is worthy of all praise; because He is good all the time; because He has done incredible and amazing things for us and for the many generations that passed, and for the ones still to come.
Here are just a few reasons to praise the Lord:
He is Good, He is Just, He is our Rock, He is our Healer, He is our Shelter, He is our Deliverer, He is our Rescuer, He is our Song. He is Great, He is Mighty, He is Powerful; He is our Joy, He is our Hope, He is our Righteousness, He is our Provider, He is our Protector; He hears us, He knows our name; His understanding has no limit; He is a God of Peace. He is our Defender, He is our Fortress, He is our Shield.
His promises are true and He is faithful to everything that He said, He is faithful to Himself. He gave us His life, so that through Him, and in Him, we should live.
So Father, we, Your creation, Your chosen ones, with our limited thinking, and in our limited way to express everything that You are; and with our very humble heart, mind, spirit, soul – we Praise You and we declare our love and gratitude to You. Hallelujah and Amen!
