Psalm 92:1
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.
A violin sat quietly in a corner, its strings untouched and silent. Whenever the musician lifted it, even the gentlest bow awakened a melody. People paused, drawn by the music not simply for its sound but because the player’s touch transformed silence into song. The violin did not create beauty alone. The musician did. In the same way, our lives respond in praise when the Lord becomes our source. We rush through tight schedules, press through demands, and carry burdens others do not notice. Jesus does not stay distant. He steps into each moment and lifts us with His strength. The Lord understands chaos and draws out peace. He sees fatigue and stirs up joy.
Perfection never becomes the standard He waits for. Rather, He stirs praise in imperfection. When the soul forgets its song, He reminds it. His reign as the Most High remains steady, and He chooses to dwell with those who simply pause to thank Him. Gratitude to Him does not stand as an obligation. It rises as a response; it is a delight and not a duty.
On this Friendship Day, let your praise also rise for the Friend who never leaves. He stays faithful through every season and closer than the dearest companion. Take a moment and offer praise. Let His faithfulness lift your voice. Raise your heart, knowing His strength holds you. Praise draws you into truth. Thanksgiving draws Him near.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord and sing praises to His name. Your breath today is a gift, and your life rests in His hands. As a result, praise remains the right response. Not when things improve, but now!
