Psalm 40:3 He has put a new song in my mouth – praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.
The psalmist declares that God has put a new song of praise to our God Almighty in his mouth. When we experience God’s deliverance, faithfulness and unconditional love in our lives, we can’t help but sing out praise to Him because we are overjoyed at the goodness of our King.
Our God is a good God, He is a deliverer and a rescuer. He has the power to transform our lives, our circumstances and situations; saving us from the bondage of our sins and the misery of our problems. He transforms us and makes our lives a living testimony of His goodness, for the Glory of the kingdom.
When we praise God, it is not only a private matter but an experience for all those around us. They too become witnesses of the glory that God brings into our lives; hence drawing others to trust God as well and experience this deliverance themselves. When we exhibit a ray of hope and a testimony for God’s salvation, it becomes a form of evangelism and encourages our fellow believers to ignite their faith.
Today, let us allow our hearts to be filled with praise to God, as every new morning is a blessing in our lives; let us allow ourselves to worship Him unconditionally. Let us furthermore share His goodness and our testimonies with others around us, so that they too will experience Him and testify about His kingdom.
