1 Samuel 2:9 (NKJV) – “He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. For by strength no man shall prevail”

The Bible is very clear about who is a saint. A saint is someone who is born again, believes in Jesus Christ, and is involved in the ministry of the church. This above verse calls out God’s promise to His saints, that He will guard them through all perils and persecutions. Are you going through persecution because of your faith in Christ, are you being rebuked for your love of Christ? Know that you are a saint in the eyes of God and He will protect you. He will silence all those who persecute you and bring you out of your difficult times holding your hand and leading you to victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God has set apart the saints for Himself, has sanctified them in Christ and by His Spirit. The Lord has declared that He is the keeper of His saints i.e. you and me. It is mentioned in particular that God guards the feet of us His saints. Yes, God keeps our whole person – our bodies and all its members, our souls, our head, our heart with its affections from turning away from Him. But, God guards our feet, He guides, directs, and orders all our actions and goings. God keeps our feet in His, He keeps us from falling, He keeps us from every evil way. Though we are liable to fall into sin and temptation, through grace we are secured by His love for us.

When we go through our trials and our persecutions we tend to give up and go to the extent of thinking that God has forsaken us. Remember this, God is guarding your feet. He will guide you where you need to be if you lean on Him and rely on His strength to get through the difficult time. Our God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and omnipresent.
