Isaiah 44:22
I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
Sometimes we think about all our sins and do not want anyone to know about them. But God Knows.
God knows every sin we have, the known and the secret ones. But God forgave us. He blotted it out. Our sins are gone like mist. By faith in Christ, when God sees us, He doesn’t see our sins. He sees the very righteousness of Jesus. God’s grace is the only thing that can dissolve our sins and completely heal us from them.
When we stand before our holy God, the price for our sins has been paid, and they are wiped away. They’re gone like mist. As the verse says He would blow our sins away as quickly and as easily as a wind blows a cloud or mist away when we return to him in repentance God offers each of us a clean start.
Even though Israel disobeyed God, God lavished His mercy on them and called them to repentance and he encourages them to hope for deliverance. He gathered all their shame, deepest regret, their mess and washed them away with His Grace.
God will do the same with our sins and blunders. No mistake HE cannot mend. God’s mercy can heal even the most painful places of our souls, HE redeems it, speaks His Grace over it, and restores it.
