Jeremiah 17:14 – “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For you are my praise.”
The gospels narrate a number of miracles Jesus did among the people. If you take a deeper look at them, you’ll notice that often when Jesus healed someone, He also told them their sins were forgiven. Healing and salvation went hand in hand. Jesus is not just our Savior; He is also our Healer. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross both saves us and heals us.
Here are a couple of Bible verses to reiterate that thought:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (I Peter 2:24)
What do you need to be saved from today? Sinful thought patterns, past mistakes, destructive habits? Turn to Jesus and accept His saving grace.
In which areas of your life do you need healing? Physical illness, depressing thoughts, mental scars from your past? Let the healing blood of Jesus flow through you today.
God is always able and willing to both save and heal His sons and daughters. Look up to Him today and let His love comfort, forgive and heal you.
