Psalm 96:9
Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.
The profound impact of giving praise to God is highlighted throughout the book of Psalms. The Maker of our universe is holy and worthy of awe and reverence. The Bible gives us an ample number of examples of how worshipping the Most High paves a path for His children to see victory over the enemy. God desires and deserves worship from a heart that intends rightly. Having an inclination towards adoring the glory of God, purely to praise His goodness, is the kind of worship God seeks.
God is glorious. All earth shakes before His Majesty. As we dive into the depth of who He is, we encounter an unfathomable beauty beyond description. The Lifter of our heads and the Comforter during brokenness loves us beyond compare. As praises arise from our lips, situations change, and lives transform. As we worship, God transforms our hearts to offer gratitude and be thankful for everything He has blessed us with, which enables us to receive more from Him. His goodness extends beyond that of a provider. If we allow Him, we can enjoy His fellowship as a friend when we’re lonely or a Father when we’re an orphan.
Dear Jesus, thank You for the privilege by which we can commune with You regardless of our position or circumstance. Help us this day to incline our hearts towards worshipping You. Amen.
