Ephesians 6:10 – “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

In Ephesians 5, Paul provides valuable guidance on how we need to walk in love. He goes on to explain how that is lived out in 3 different relationships: between husbands and wives, children and parents, servants and masters. He then says, “Finally…” This one word shows us how integral this final point is in Paul’s letter. He encourages us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. How do we do that? We put on the whole armor of God… that’s what the rest of this final chapter is about.

You might think you can handle your life well enough. But in every aspect of your life, if you want to walk in love and have healthy relationships with your immediate family and partners/colleagues at work, you need God’s strength. You might be strong in your faith, but the devil does not fight fair. He will find every opportunity to destroy your relationships and cause havoc in your life.

Do you want to conquer your daily battles and live victoriously? Put on the whole armor of God – stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, let the Holy Spirit strengthen your faith and lead you in righteousness, and don’t forget to pray. You can talk to the Lord at all times, in all places. Have a never-ending conversation with Him, and let Him give you the strength you need to live according to His Word.
