Proverbs 10:25 – “… the righteous is an everlasting foundation.”
The book of Proverbs relays numerous blessings for those who are righteous – in right standing with God. Trials and tribulations fall on all people, good and bad alike. But those who have faith in the Lord Jesus are anchored in Him during the storms of life. They might be tossed around, but not for long. They will conquer their challenges and come out stronger than before.
In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 Paul says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed…” No matter what comes our way, we know we’re established because the Lord is on our side. That is the blessing of the righteous. But it is not a righteousness we can earn on our own. It’s an act of accepting God’s grace and forgiveness by faith, and living in alignment to His will for us.
Will we mess up? Possibly. But all is not lost. When you build your life on the foundation of God’s Word, you can be assured that His Holy Spirit will guide you into truth and righteousness. He will strengthen you to live out His Word and make you a stable testament of His grace. Whatever you maybe facing in your life, don’t be discouraged. God has begun a good work in you and He will carry it on to completion. Just stay true to Jesus and Let His glory shine through your life.
