Psalm 37:5 – “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
With a new year upon us, it’s only natural to have a list of goals for the year and plan exciting things to accomplish in the coming months. However, life rarely goes according to plan. Just when we think we have it all sorted out, our plans may get derailed by unwelcome changes. The only thing we can be sure of is that the Lord goes before us this year.
Since we don’t know what’s in store for us, we can only surrender our desires and plans in God’s hands and trust Him to pave the way for us. Surrendering something that’s important to you requires loads of courage. It is an act of giving up what you want and giving in to what God wants for you. But if you are able to trust God and believe that He’ll do what’s best, you will certainly be blessed.
Prayer: Father, I submit all my plans and desires for 2018 into your hands. I believe you will strengthen me to face what lies ahead. Thank You for walking with me and guiding me through Your Word. Have Your way in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
