We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. Revelation 11:17
The Holy Bible reveals that there will be apostasy and lawlessness in the end times. These are the times ahead when the age of God’s grace will expire on earth. The All-Knowing God who revealed to humankind the end(Revelation) through His grace, is He not worthy of our thanks? No doubt He is!
The God, who knew us before we were formed in the womb(Jeremiah 1:5) and even knows our very end(Hebrews 12:2), deserves our thankful hearts. When we understand who our God is, what He has done for us and what He continues to do by His grace, our hearts will overflow with thanks.
God is there in your beginnings and will be there in the end. God may seem distant and invisible through our life’s journey from alpha to omega. However, remember that our Sovereign God, the Alpha and the Omega, is seated on the throne. He is carrying us on His shoulders as we go through our transforming process.
We often assume to have control over our lives, but the truth is God Almighty is the one in control of our lives. We may want to question His choices and desires for us. But our joy will be complete only when we understand that our life is a free gift, operated according to our Creator’s plans. When we surrender our body, mind and soul to the Sovereign’s control, He will take charge of our circumstances. Hence, thanksgiving will automatically be our lifestyle.
Today, God is standing and knocking at your heart to take control of your life(Revelation 3:20). Permit Him full access and live a life of no regrets in total obedience to His word. Let us cultivate thanksgiving in our lives for the steadfast kindness of our God. End times or not, we have a God to be thankful for in every season of our lives on earth! Thanks be to God for everything!
