Know these things

Ephesians‬ ‭1:18-19‬ – “…having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might.”
Our salvation experience is just the beginning of a life long faith walk. It does have its ups and downs though. You may experience spiritual highs when you receive answers to your prayer, or feel the presence of God in a tangible way. But you may also experience spiritual lows where you feel discouraged and far away from God.

In today’s verses, Paul says we must know three things:

1. The hope to which God has called you – As long as you believe in Christ, you are not without hope, even if your situation feels hopeless.

2. The riches of His glorious inheritance – God has prepared an inheritance for you, and He wants to you to enjoy it for eternity.

3. The greatness of God’s power – The resurrection power of Jesus is active in your life. When you seek to do God’s will, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish by His power that is at work in you.

As you ride the roller coaster of life, remember these three things and keep your chin up. No child of God who completely relies on Him will ever be put to shame.
