Zechariah 2:8 – “For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:”
The human body is an original masterpiece and its design baffles biologists even today. One example of this is the human eye. God created it with such great care and added many layers of protection for it. The eye lashes keep dust at bay, and the eyelids are quick to close at the first sign of danger. Even if a tiny particle manages to go through, tears flow out and cleanse the eye.
Just as the body has been designed to protect the eye, so has God placed His protection over you. Today’s verse clearly says that anyone who touches you touches the apple of God’s eye. As long as you remain in the centre of God’s will, His wall of fire will ever be around you.
You are His precious child. He will filter out everything that comes against you. If God has allowed a calamity in your life, you can be assured that He had a plan behind it. God will use your afflictions to cleanse you, build your faith, fill you up with more of His grace and draw You closer to Himself. Don’t be discouraged; you are the apple of God’s eye.
