Hebrews 10:22 NKJV
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
When someone tells us something that seems too good to be true, we often ask them, “Are you sure?” We need assurance that what they’re saying is true and that we can trust them.
The Bible is filled with promises that assure us of God’s great love for us. Today’s verse encourages us to draw near to God with full assurance of faith. We can do that when we know, beyond doubt, that He has redeemed us.
Our conscience often pricks us when we do something wrong. But it’s what we do next that matters. Do we ignore the nudging of the Holy Spirit and continue in our wrongdoing? Or do we repent and turn back to the Lord?
When we repent, the Lord forgives our sins and purifies our hearts yet again. We can then boldly enter the throne room of God in full assurance that He has pardoned our sin and adopted us as heirs of His kingdom.
God doesn’t keep a record of past sins after He’s forgiven us. So, don’t let the memories of your mistakes keep you from seeking the Lord. He is waiting for you to approach Him in full faith and confidence as His beloved child.
