The God of peace

Romans 16:20:  And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.  Amen.

Paul wrote this to the Christians in Rome.  God is a God of peace and Satan does not give anybody peace, so this God of peace will bruise the devil under our feet shortly.  Whenever there is peacelessness or trouble, God will ensure that the devil be bruised under our feet.

God wants us to live in peace.  He has given us the authority over the powers of darkness and over all the powers of the devil.  God will not allow anything to rule over us.  He wants us to trample down the evil one right under our feet.  He will have a complete defeat as soon as God hands him over to us to be trampled upon.  In the midst of calamities, persecution, war, famine, etc., God will be our peace.  If the devil tries to attack us with his fiery darts or comes against us like like a flood, God will rise up a standard against us.  In the midst of a storm, God is our peace.

If anyone is going through an unexplainable or a challenging situation, it would be wise to hold on to your faith for some more time.  There is going to be a day when Satan shall be bruised under your feet.  The exact day or the time is not our concern.  Our concern should be as to how we will take up every situation in life as a challenge against the devil and as a test of faith from God.  The most important thing that will always be with us to sustain us is the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
