THE GOD WHO PICKS YOU UP

Psalm 145:14 – “The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.” 

A fall normally causes damage to a person or a thing: like a cup, a plate or a vase – which can break and be destroyed beyond repair, or, leave marks, dents, scars. Also feeling down, staying low or being unable to stand or get up, could be indicators of disease, distress or emotional challenges. 

And here is where our God comes in! Here is where He picks us up, lifts us up, rebuilds us and transforms us! 

“The Lord upholds all who fall” – He lifts us up, each one of us, without distinction – all we need is to seek Him.  

“He raises all who are bowed down”. When we are bowed down, we could also be demonstrating humility. Being humble is necessary to admit our shortcomings and our need to be helped. We only need to bow down to Him, Christ, our Savior. 

The Creator of the Universe, our Saviour, is gracious and kind towards us that He is ready to uphold all of us who fall. He picks us up, He raises us up, because of His immense and compassionate heart. 

He picks us up with His strong hand, and He puts us in a place of safety, for His Name’s sake. Amen!
