However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13
A travel guide is a person who is an expert with knowledge and experience of a destination. This person is the best to guide and lead travellers into unknown and unfamiliar locations. This person not only gives an insight of the destination but also ensures that the trip is safe and memorable.
The Holy Spirit is given to us, as our guide, in this journey of life, to lead us to eternal life in Christ Jesus.
The truth will prevail. That is the ministry of the Holy Spirit here called the “Spirit of truth.” He will guide us into all truth which means He would lead us along in bringing the truth to our remembrance.
It is this very truth that leads us to salvation. Our salvation is true. It is the truth that sets us free. Lies hold people in bondage. But truth frees us. It is the truth that will endure and will stand the test of time and eternity. It can be depended on and trusted. The truth ultimately needs no defense. There is power in the truth of God that can defeat the enemy. That is why the word of God is so effective in convicting and persuading a person’s heart.
So today, if you’re facing a crisis or unsure about something in the future, seek the Holy Spirit’s leading and direction. The more we practice listening to the Holy Spirit, the easier it will get to follow Him boldly. The Holy Spirit will guide you and show you the things to come!
