Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Psalm 42:5 (KJV)
In the above Psalm, the psalmist is encouraging his soul not to lose courage and to continue hoping in the Lord and praising Him regardless of the situations.
According to the Gospel of Mathew, Peter walked on the water towards Jesus, but he became afraid and began to sink so Jesus rescued him. There are so many other countless situations not just in the Holy Bible , but also in our personal lives when Jesus has come to our rescue when we are in trouble.
Even in a hopeless situation we must draw our strength from God. God is present and active in all situation and will see you through. The presence of a storm or a shipwreck does not mean the absence of God. No Matter what you may be going through. Whether its joblessness, incurable disease, the loss of a loved one, a failed marriage or financial crisis, God will deliver you from every situation and give you victory in all your battles. You may think you are defeated, your soul may be crushed, but you just need to speak to your soul like the psalmist and remind yourself that its not over until God says it is over. Never despair, our Lord will never let us down.He is the one who holds us in the palm of His mighty hands. He is our safe ground and our strong tower.
Today, as the entire world has come to a standstill and everyone is focused on the crisis, let us as children of God fix our eyes and our hope on Jesus and wait on the Lord to show us direction and strengthen our souls. He is sovereign over His people.
