Luke 12:12
Do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.
Our Lord Jesus Christ gives us a two-dimensional directive here. One is a warning and the second is an encouragement. He warns His disciples that there will be persecution and opposition when they choose to follow Him. If it were not so, the Lord would not have even mentioned it. A Christian who expects no discrimination because of his/her faith or religious belief is living in deception. What then, do we live in fear and apprehension?
Rather, here is where Jesus emboldens us with this beautiful promise. When we live a life dedicated to the Lord and walk faithfully in His ways, looking to Him, we will be taught of the Lord. In the midst of the testing, we need to strengthen our faith and seek the Lord’s direction. Instead of giving into anxiousness and worry about how to defend ourselves, we need to seek the Spirit of Wisdom.
When you are in a deep relationship, it will manifest in moments of great trials.
This should not however, stop us from diligently studying the Word, seeking His discernment and growing in divine understanding. The more we grow in Him, the easier it will be for us to hear Him when we need to. We need to have a lifestyle where we allow the precious Holy Spirit to access our hearts and pour into us the Spirit of Revelation. When you are in a deep relationship, it will manifest in moments of great trials. Therefore, nurture your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Grow in Him and He will grow in you. Dedicate and surrender your life to Him and He will overshadow and greatly increase your favour with man and God!
