Know Where to Walk

Psalm 16:11

“You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Most of the times in our lives we do not see clearly what lies ahead; because our path, or the choices we have to make are not very obvious or clear. It is exactly during these times that we need to continuously seek the presence of God our Father.

It is today, in the world we live in, during these very uncertain times for so many people, that we must remain in God’s hand. We need to remain in Him, held by Him, connected to Him, talking to Him through prayer, reading His word.

Our God always sees everything crystal clear; He knows the path we must take; He guides us with His right hand; “He guides us in paths of righteousness” (Psalm 23:3); and if we are attentive to Him, listen to His voice, and are sensitive to His presence, our ears will “hear a voice behind us, saying, “this is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21).

Peter walked in a path most of us will not experience walking on: he walked on water. He actually walked twice on a very unusual path: once alone going towards Jesus; then, when he thought he was not going to make it, Jesus pulled him up with His right hand, and they both walked on water, together, towards the boat.

Be assured that our God is in control of all things; that He knows the outcome of all our decisions; that He rejoices and loves to guide and direct us; and that we must more than ever trust Him completely.
