John 12:46
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
What is darkness? Is it the absence of light? Does it refer to the nights? How can someone live or wander in darkness? Well, someone who has literally staggered in darkness even in the day would be able to answer this best, because this darkness that the Lord speaks about is not just the darkness that can be seen but the darkness of the mind, heart and soul.
There is a deep darkness of the soul. If we, for an instance have to imagine our lives as a dark room, when we seek Christ, we are seeking illumination. When we experience His amazing presence and begin to see His wondrous works in our lives, we know for sure that we have found that light which causes us to see the things that were once concealed in darkness-immorality, impurity, obscenity, un-forgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, gossip, slander, etc… The deeper we get into Him, the more His light will dispel all of these. But we are called to cleave, trust and rely on Him to overcome our weaknesses. Because it is the sin in flesh which still gets attracted to the darkness and causes us to wander towards the darkness.
Beloved, we pray that the scales of unbelief, doubt and pride would fall off your eyes so that when the LIGHT shines in your darkness, YOU WILL understand, receive and dwell in it. May your spiritual eyes be opened to allow Him to transform you to become the children of The Light! May you reflect the glory of His Light!!!
Amen.
For the glory of His, I have no second thought in confessing openly that I am one great witness who have got deliverance from the life of darkness ( under the clutches for 30 long years ) through the light of the Lord. Glory and praises to Him alone.
