Proverbs 19:21: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”

This verse reminds us that although we may have our own plans and desires, ultimately, it is God’s purpose that will prevail in our lives.

It’s quite natural that we make plans and set goals for various reasons and motives. Plans towards our studies, relationships, career, marriage, health, wealth, serving, future plans, etc. We have dreams and aspirations, and we work hard to achieve them. However, it is equally important for us to recognize that we are not in control of everything. No matter how well we plan or how determined we are, there are circumstances beyond our control.

This proverb encourages us to acknowledge the sovereignty of God and His role in our lives. It reminds us that God’s purpose is higher and wiser than our own plans. Sometimes, our plans may not align with what God has in store for us. In those moments, we need to trust in His wisdom and surrender our desires to His will.

Reflecting on this verse can lead us to a place of surrender and trust in God. It reminds us that His plans for our lives are ultimately for our good, even if they may not align with our own desires. By seeking His will and trusting in His purpose, we can find peace and fulfilment in our daily lives. The scripture declares that He works for our good! Trust Him and His Plans!

Romans 8: 28 “ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
