Psalm 37:11
The meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
This verse speaks of the rich blessings reserved for the meek—those who are humble and gentle in spirit. God promises them not only an inheritance of the earth, but also a life filled with peace. The meek are those who place their trust in God rather than relying on their strength. In a world often driven by pride and self-promotion, this verse serves as a powerful reminder that true peace and lasting inheritance come from having a humble heart aligned with God’s will.
Jesus says in Matthew 5:5, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”. This promise assures us that gentleness and humility are valued in the Kingdom of God and are rewarded with peace that surpasses all understanding. Isaiah 29:19 says, “The humble shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel”. This further underscores that a meek and humble spirit leads to joy and peace in God’s presence.
We, as believers, must reflect on this scripture. Meekness is not a weakness but a powerful trust in God’s control and plan. Embracing this attitude invites us to inherit the fullness of God’s promises and live in the richness of His peace. Today, choose to be meek and trust in God’s abundant blessings, and you will find true joy and contentment.
