The Promise

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10

Think of something impossible. Amuse yourself with your vivid imagination. Trees dressing up for work; fishes walking; lions flying; eagles creeping. It sounds so weird! But did you know that they seem only odd to us because we are accustomed to seeing and experiencing the world in a particular way? However, things that are unfathomable to humans have occurred in the past.

No astronomic study can understand the sun standing still for Joshua. Researchers remain baffled about the parting of the Red Sea and whether the world wants to believe it on not; multiple eyewitnesses testified seeing Jesus defy the law of gravity and ascend to heaven.

With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God, all things are possible. And God, the creator of all things, says everything can change. The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed. But God’s Kindness and covenant of peace will always be what it was centuries ago.

An earthquake can move an entire nation out of its place. A tsunami can drown a whole city. Hurdles may come your way, and the thorn of challenges prick your every move, but God’s constant guidance will never depart. His light will always shine on you. His Words always guide you and keep you.

Does your guilt prevent you from facing God? His love is more than your guilt. Does your pride fool you into thinking you don’t need Him? He knows the face behind the mask you wear and calls you to His embrace. No matter what the challenge or the frustration of constant change be today, let us take a moment to remember that His kindness shall never depart.
