Psalm 71:1:  In thee, O Lord, do I put  my trust; let me never be put to confusion.

We are often baffled with thoughts of fear, doubt, insecurity, hopelessness, confusion and the like.  It was David’s prayer to God that since he trusted in Him, he never wanted to be put to confusion.

We face so many hardships and challenges in life.  Sometimes we find it so hard to decide upon things that are so important to us.  We feel biased and confused which incapacitates our decision making process, but David proves to God that his trust is only in Him.  We can gather from this verse that David is speaking his heart out to God.  It is more like a request and a confirmation to God that his trust is in Him.  When we seek God in prayer over every thoughts that conquer our minds and make us confused, God will fill us with clarity and peace.  We have to pray until we feel peaceful in our heart.  Learn to trust God in prayer.  Don’t go to God as an obligation, but seek Him because He is real.  Seek Him because He will speak into your spirit either through His word or through someone or through a song or anything.  Your heart will experience joy over the very thing that you were so confused about.

Everyone who trusts in the Lord will never be put to shame.  Those who trust in the Lord are like mount Zion which cannot be shaken but endures forever.  If you want to endure your struggles and challenges which often put you in distrust and confusion, trust the Lord God with all your heart.
