Psalm 118:14 – “The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.”
Sometimes things happen in our lives that can throw us off balance; for a moment we may feel like we are being pushed to the edge and feel hopelessness. This can make us feel weak and discouraged, or like giving up and shutting down.
When these situations happen, we only have one thing to do: to seek the Lord, look up to Him, give Him our troubles, ask Him to give us His strength and wait for Him to save us. Just like the Psalmist did when he said “I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me.”(Psalm 118:13).
When we are weak, then we are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10), because God’s power is made perfect in our weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9). The Lord is the One who holds us with His right hand, who comes and delivers us, who comes and saves us, who always gives us the strength we need to continue.
When we realize that He is all we need, we praise Him with our lips and a song of joy comes out of our heart. This is what Miriam and Moses did after they successfully and safely crossed the Red Sea, after the Lord delivered them from the hands of Pharaoh and his army.
What is your Red Sea? What situation do you need to overcome?
Rest assured that the Lord is near, that He will protect and carry you, that He will give you the strength that you need to overcome your momentary troubles. He is your song and He is your salvation! Amen!
Lord. Give me the strength when I am weak, strengthen my faith let my thoughts be clean. Lord I thank and praise You for everything in Jesus mighty name I pray Amen
Yes indeed He is all our healer, our protector and savior. Thanks and praises 👏 be to our Lord Jesus.
Yes pastor very much encouraged by the word of God. I was facing the same situation because of my brother whose name is Rony, alcohol addicted. His liver is damaged but after medication for a month again started to drink and spoils my peace of mind. Yesterday I have admitted him to a detoxification and rehab center in Mangalore. Please pray for him to come out of this addiction and turn to God. I brought him to Bethel church in Bangalore first week of June.
