“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” – Isaiah 55:11
“Rhema” is the spoken word of God and “Logos” is the written Word of God. The Holy Bible is a book about the “Word of God”. In the beginning, the Word was the first revelation, and the final revelation of the Holy Bible is the Word of God. The Word of God is the beginning, the end, and holds everything that’s in between. It is the fulfilment of time and accomplishes everything.
The Word of God tells us an unified story of perfectly webbed details until the end. The very nature of the Word is ‘fulfilling’ and ‘accomplishing’ — accomplishing what’s started and perfecting every detail until the end. The Word of God is active.
“JESUS”- the Alpha and the Omega is the Word of God. One who possesses all the heavenly qualities in Himself perfectly. He doesn’t fail and neither fades away. Everything else in between may strip away, but what He has spoken will never fade away.
His spoken Word has created our lives and His written Word governs our lives, and only through the Word are we led into His paths. We do not have enough reasons to deny this Word governing our lives and bringing everything to fulfilment. The beautiful promise of Isaiah 55:11 reassures us of His perfect plans and His sovereignty today. This living, active, powerful Word of God is sovereign and ‘will not return void or empty, but will accomplish everything desired and achieve the purpose for which it is sent.’
