You Cannot be Moved!

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.” Psalm 125:1. NIV

This verse reminds us of God’s promise, particularly when we experience mental, physical, and spiritual uncertainty and disturbance. Psalm 125:1 likens those who trust God to Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken or moved. God is with those who believe in Him, surrounding them like the mountains encircling Jerusalem.

Putting our faith in God during trying times is easier said than done, and for some, trusting in God comes easy when things are going well. However, for some, faith in God remains unaffected by their circumstances because they ‘know’ their God. Trusting in God gives us the supernatural ability, wisdom and strength to handle any circumstance that comes our way.

God is trustworthy because He never changes. He remains the same now, tomorrow, and eternally (Hebrews 13:8). By placing our faith in God, we become as sturdy as Mount Zion and can withstand trials and change without being moved. Putting our faith in Him also brings comfort, wellness, and peace into our lives.

We should not let our faith in God be compromised by the current difficulties, changes, or opportunities in life.

No matter what is going on in the world—recession, war rumours, unemployment, or whatever it be —those who put their trust in the Lord will never be shaken, and with Christ in our lives, we are more than conquerors.
