Matthew 6:31-32 – “Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.”

It’s very easy to worry. All you need to do is think of a pending project at work, a call you’ve been dreading, an assessment that you’ve been hoping to avoid, a relationship that has fallen apart or just about anything related to your future. We sometimes have no control over how certain events will turn out in the days to come, and that might cause us a great deal of anxiety.

In today’s verses, we see Jesus gently reminding us not to be anxious or worried. Your Heavenly Father knows exactly what’s running through your mind. He knows what you need even before the thought of it enters your mind. The future God has planned for you is sure to bring out the best in you, that you may glorify His Name.

If you’re anxious about anything today, remind yourself that your Heavenly Father knows what you’re going through. He will work things out in the end. In the meantime, allow God to use your circumstances to build your faith and draw you closer to Him. Keep relying on Jesus, no matter what!
