A new beginning is a chance to start over. Where we leave the past behind and move forward in victory. On the eve of July 31, a prophetic word from the Lord was revealed at the month-end prayer and fasting midnight service – ‘August is a month of new beginnings.’

It’s time to forget the former things and stop dwelling on the past. Instead, embrace what God wants to do in your life in this new season. Do you need a new miracle, a new victory, a fresh start? August is your month.

As believers, we have died with Christ and no longer live for ourselves. Our lives are no longer worldly. The ‘old’ refers to everything that is part of our old nature—pride, habits, passions, love of sin, and reliance on works—which is now nailed to the Cross. The ‘new’ refers to the new nature—Christ’s nature—that we now possess. We did not inherit it nor merit it. God simply decided to create something fresh and unique in us. The new creation is something to be marvelled at, created by the power of God for His glory
