Romans 5:5 – “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Faith, hope and love are all essential for our spiritual wellbeing. Faith in God is the foundation of our lives. What we know and believe about God affects every area of our lives in a tangible way. But even our faith may fail us at times. When troubles arise, we may find ourselves doubting the goodness of God.
The one thing we can always count on is the love of God. God’s love for you is immeasurable, unconditional and never-ending. Even in the most depressing circumstances when you feel far from God, you can be assured His love for you hasn’t changed. When you believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes down to dwell in you. It’s the embodiment of God’s love, alive and active in your life.
It’s because of God’s constant love for you that you can continue to hope for a better tomorrow. While you may be facing disappointing circumstances today, it won’t always be this way. When you put your hope in the Lord, He will not let you be put to shame. God’s love will never run out on you.
