If You Breathe, Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:6 – “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

If there is breath, there is life.  “The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7).

According to Science Daily (2011) there are approximately 8.7 million estimated total number of species on earth, on land and in oceans.  This number does not include the human race. Psalms 148 urges angels, heavenly hosts, sun, moon, stars, elements, mountains, hills, trees, all animals, princes, all rulers of the earth and the entire human kind from old to young to Praise the Lord.

Unimaginable!

Whether David meant absolutely everything that has breath – or those inside the sanctuary, along with their musical instruments, he ended all his Psalms with this incredible command that everything that has breath praise the Lord.

We need to Praise the Lord for everything that He is.  In Exodus 3:14 God tells Moses that He is “I AM THAT I AM” — “Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh” — “YHWH”.  Try saying this without a breath.  It sounds like a breath.  God is our life, our very breath.

We need to Praise the Lord for everything that He has done for you and for me. For His grace, His mercy, His compassion, His love, His power, His strength, His protection, His sacrifice, His provision, His plans, His forgiveness, His truth, His miracles, His word, His promises, and on, and on, and on.

We praise You because “there is no one like You, O Lord, and there is no God but You, as we have heard with our own ears”. (1 Chronicles 17:20)

All glory to God. Let breath of our majesty fills each heart. And love to see the Lords banner in devils camp. Thank you very much.
