1 Timothy 1:14
And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
Scripture shows us individuals who lived far from perfect lives, yet God’s grace gave them new beginnings and new purposes. Have you wondered what God could do with someone who feels completely unqualified?
Consider Peter. He confidently declared that he would never deny Jesus, yet when pressure grew, he denied Him three times. Peter could have allowed shame and failure to define his future. Instead, Jesus restored him and entrusted him with the responsibility of caring for His people. Peter’s failure was real, but God’s grace was greater.
God’s grace does not ignore our failures. Instead, He meets us in our failures, restores us, and gives us strength to move forward. Peter did not let the night he denied Jesus be the headline of his life. Jesus restored him, and Peter became a bold servant who proclaimed Christ with courage.
Perhaps you are carrying regret over something or a season in which you failed God. Do not let your past determine the future God has planned for you. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, God says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” His grace is greater than your weaknesses, and your failures cannot cancel His purposes for your life.
God does not require you to come with a perfect record. He asks you to come with a willing heart. His grace is exceedingly abundant, and through Christ, you are given the faith and love needed to begin again and live for Him.
