Our Strength in Times of Weakness

Psalm 71:16 “I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.” (KJV)

A lot has been spoken of God’s strength and might. It is indeed unmatched and marvellous. The strength of the Lord is quite contrary to the strength of the world as we know it. God’s strength is in His character, His actions, His promises, His grace and of course in His love for His people.

God serves us through His strength. When we become weak in ourselves, His strength becomes evident in us. The above verse urges us to enter in His strength and not to depend on our own, because our strength may fail, but His strength will always see us through. Throughout the Holy Bible, we have witnessed great things that ordinary people have done, by the strength of the Lord.

Today, is the day to trade your weakness for His strength. When you walk strong in the Lord, things will fall in place. God’s favor is upon those who depend on Him. He demonstrates His mighty power in situations when human strength is weak and lacking. Let us then make Him our shield and defender, and thank Him for strengthening us in times of weakness.
