Psalm 146:1-2 – “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.”
It is so good to praise the Lord, to focus on Him, on Who He Is, and to give Him all the glory and the attention that only He deserves. But we should not trivialize the expression ‘Praise the Lord’, because we can never trivialize our Majestic God.
Everyone who has been touched by the power of the Holy Spirit of God will naturally praise Him, give Him the glory and the attention that He deserves, especially in the world we live in today when everyone is so engrossed with themselves, living such self-centered lives.
Our God deserves all our attention and praise. Our focus, our eyes, our intentions, our actions, our thoughts, our plans, our dreams, our worries, our everything needs to be entirely focused on Him. We need to Praise the Lord.
“Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lighting and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children.” (Psalm 148:7-12).
Praise the Lord!
