Psalms 19:7
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;”
Psalm 19: 1-6 talks about the Glory of God revealed by His creation. Psalm 19:7-14 introduces the Law of the Lord as God’s perfect revelation of Himself and His will. His Law, which is His Word, is complete and perfect without flaws. There are blessings that are unlocked when we love and obey them.
God’s Word, has the power to revive one’s soul; it gives life to those who heed it and revives when our spirit is downcast.
The other name used for God’s Word, in both Psalm 19 and Psalm 119, is testimony. The testimony of the Lord is sure without any doubt and can transform the inexperienced and the simple to be wise. Therefore, God’s Word changes us: from bad to good, good to better!
So, let us listen and obey the Word of God with all our hearts. It shall surely rejuvenate and empower us for an abundant life God has planned for us.
