Colossians 1:10

That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

We are called to be meek and humble before God and one another. But humility does not mean we shrink into timidity. Walking worthy of the Lord means stepping confidently in the authority we have been given as members of the heavenly royal family. We are children of the King. Hence, we are deeply loved and fully equipped to represent Him wherever we go.

We must actively share the wonderful gift of salvation we have received. God calls us to bless others, but He directs each of us to do so in a unique way. So, let’s always be mindful to allow Christ to build His church in and through our lives.

Being fruitful means we continually engage in good works. One way we can do this is by seeking daily opportunities to lift praise to God and encourage those around us. We are to shine His light into the dark places.

Furthermore, this worthy walk requires us to keep growing in mind and spirit as we continually develop ourselves in the wisdom of God. Ultimately, we need to remember that God gives this wisdom freely and generously to all who ask.

So, let’s walk in the quiet confidence of royalty and with the gentle heart of a servant. Look for ways to be a blessing to someone else. Take a moment to ask God for the wisdom you need for the day ahead. He is always ready to guide our steps as we seek to please Him fully.
